Go Green: Natural Products
68Buy Natural Products
You hear people tell you, "Buy Eco-friendly products! Go natural!" Well if you are concerned about the chemicals we breathe in on a daily basis like gas fumes, the harsh creams we put on our skin, or all those strange words you read on the back of bottles that you eat, you will seriously consider "going green."
You may have encountered the websites that breakdown what's in a Chicken McNugget, a woman's lipstick or the contents of fertilizers and pesticides. You were shocked for the moment until you were distracted by other things, then your discontent for cost saving chemicals went out the window--you didn't do much if anything. You may not have given any more thought to what you had learned, because well there were more pressing things to do. However, given the increasing number of cancer victims and other people with growing health related issues (that are quietly removed from breaking news channels after a short stint) one should be very concerned.
Be mindful of those prescription medicines you may be taking or might take in the future. Ask yourself, "What are the side effects? Could I find a natural alternative?" When cleaning your bathroom or kitchen, be cautious of those harsh smells. You might consider buying something that the whole household won't cough or complain about. Green products do fight germs too. What about those items you eat that you really can't explain to a child much less an adult what exactly is in them? You don't need to fear about what is going in your body; rather, look for healthy alternatives.
Going green is a process. You take baby steps. It starts with a coupon for an alternative cleaning product, then maybe a recommendation from a friend for something good to eat, and then before long you have yourself a nice collection of green products.
I started years ago trying different green products when my sister sold natural products as a second income. I started with toothpaste, an anti-itch remedy that was also great for bee stings I learned later, and then a wide assortment of cleaning products. When I visit stores, I look for green products that are on sale. I also visit websites like one mentioned on my hub, check it out.
Skin Care and Hair Products for Men
Men enjoy shopping online just as much as women, so the folks over at AtHisBest decided to create a site that provides many of the most popular items men like buying. Take a look:
The Natural Store Review
From natural beauty products to herbal remedies, I enjoy visiting a one-stop shop of natural products. The Natural Store is known for its Eco-friendly items. They are one of the major sites offering a large line of natural, "green" and environmentally friendly products.
The Natural Store's parent company you may be familiar with is Drugstore.com which has been around for over a decade. Both sites are very easy to shop and I was able to find everything on the site plus items I couldn't find in my local drug store.
The company provides excellent customer service and items are processed the same day. If you don't want to order online, you can call them directly. I was impressed with the low shipping cost and still found my total purchase cheaper than what I would have paid for things like beauty products and hair supplies at my local drug store.
When my items arrived in the mail, I noticed how neatly packed they were in the box. Some were smaller than what I thought, but that was because I didn't pay attention to the ounces before I bought them, so I do suggest you watch the size and amount you are ordering.
I personally enjoy shopping for brand names and I was happy to get some of my natural products at a fraction of the price I would normally pay offline due to careful watch of online sales.
You will find some of the most popular green items on the site such as natural beauty products, natural baby products, and natural cleaning products to name a few. In addition, there are reviews conveniently located next to each product.
Consider checking out the site and buy green! Here is a coupon link that is available until 3/31/2011. Save up to 25% off Beauty Products at TheNaturalStore.com

nmcguire7, nice hub. I am in the process of seriously trying to go green. In some areas I've succeeded, but others are a little harder. Hubs such as this really helps int the process. Thanks for the websites. Really good hub.
