Intimate Underwear: Cheap Lingerie

Plus Size Lingerie: It's Really No Big Deal

The petite size underwear didn't move up my thighs so easily like it did prior to giving birth to my first child. The sexy two piece lingerie, I once kept hung in the back of my closet, didn't look so hot after the birth of my second child. By the time I had my third and fourth child, my underwear drawer needed a total makeover. Shame on me for holding on to the pairs of underwear with the tiny holes here and there, the stretched out elastic bands, and other pairs of underwear that we as women always say, "That's for those well, you know, those bad days." How many bad underwear do we need for those bad days?

So when I discovered that seriously I needed to do something different in my personal intimate apparel section, I did what most women do, go to the local department store, find something cute and then bring it home only to discover it just didn't look quite right, it felt itchy, a little tight in the breast area, etc. My first lingerie shopping mistake, I didn't plan to buy the lingerie. You have to plan on it's use or you just might find it sitting in the drawer never worn. Cheap lingerie may not be your taste. Costly lingerie may leave you feeling guilty, so plan a budget which leads me to my next point. My second mistake, I didn't buy it for a reasonable price, because I didn't bother to check sites like this. I was too busy going with whatever floated my boat for that day.

Meanwhile, Valentines Day, Sweetest Day and other romantic times of the year would approach and I always seemed to be taken by surprise. In other words, there was no romantic Valentines Day gifts exchanged. Even worse, the one and only time I got married, on my wedding night I didn't have much of a wedding night surprise for my husband back then. I just found something pretty, but didn't consider how easy it might be to wear, take off or if it would be comfortable enough to put back on and sleep in it.

After the child births, there were times I honestly couldn't care less about my increase in body weight, but after flipping through a magazine or two, I thought, "The least I could do is find something that doesn't look like someone's grandmother slept in it!" Those department store sales for the printed night gowns or pjs, t-shirts with the silly statements or faces, even a short set to bed can be downright tacky after a few too many washes. Since men are visual creatures they can become quite bored with your bedtime look.

Despite my needing to stay in a large size or two after pregnancy for awhile, I managed to find some items that fit me. I was able to fit in some cute red and black baby doll lingerie with matching g-string and thongs.

My intimate underwear said one thing on those nights I would wear it for my husband, "It's on!" But the printed grandma looking pajamas said a totally different thing whether true or not. Who wants to look at that every night?

So if you want to get a little closer to your honey, look good and smell good at bedtime. Don't make a big deal about having to buy a bigger size or fuss too much about the cost. Rather, think: here's a sexy contribution to my relationship even if my man's tongue doesn't hang out, at least I can strut my stuff and feel good about my sexy curves!

Valentines Day: Don't Let The Past Keep You From Having a Good Time

Okay so there are many women who are talking about dressing sexy for their men on Valentines Day. There are also alot of husbands and boyfriends saying, "Don't do anything special for me, honey." Of course, they would say that because they don't want to feel obligated buying something for that woman they call girlfriend or wife. Now, there are those men who genuinely don't want their women to worry over buying anything like heart-shaped boxers, or bikinis for them (lol,) but we aren't talking about those men.

I'm talking about the men who don't like Valentine's Day and try to avoid it like a plague. May I just say that for a long time I played the role of understanding wifey, "We don't celebrate Valentines Day," I would say, covering up my disappointment, when someone would ask me. Meanwhile, I really didn't like the idea that I couldn't do anything for this man on a holiday I always found romantic. But when I looked back on my married life, I think I should have did something special anyway during those times he said, "Don't worry about it." He had issue with the holiday because of past experiences with others, I didn't.

Even though, there are men who have celebrated Valentines Day with so many women they can't keep count anymore. Every woman is different. I personally think that every date that comes into one's life should be given the opportunity to express their affection and/or love in a way that is beneficial to the relationship even if it is choosing Valentines Day, Sweetest Day, an anniversary or some other day. It's good for the soul to do something kind for someone. Besides you learn a lot about a person when you observe their giving practices. If you are a generous person, you don't want to be involved with a selfish person. You can already see the problem in this.

So allow a significant to spoil you, learn as much as you can about his or her interest(s) and do something memorable, unique, funny or sweet. It feels good to be appreciated.

Valentines Day Gift Ideas for Him, Her

Here are a few simple Valentines Day gift ideas that can also be used for Sweetest Day, a wedding night or anniversary.

  • Get off of work early and decorate a place where you two spend the most time. Use flowers, photos of the two of you, candlelight, music and other romantic things to ignite romantic feelings.
  • Do something you don't typically do, like prepare dinner, give a back-rub, or recite poetry.
  • Buy a piece of jewelry symbolic of your commitment to the relationship.
  • Plan a trip to a favorite restaurant you haven't been to in awhile.
  • Arrange for a movie night away from home.
  • Blow up a favorite photo and include it in a beautiful frame.
  • Purchase intimate apparel for your significant.
  • Run bath water and display a wonderful arrangement of body wash, sprays and lotions. (That is if you know her favorite scent.)
  • Show up at a workplace with flowers and a card.
  • Bake a favorite dessert.
  • Call up a relative or friend to watch the children for the night while you two head to dinner, watch a live band, attend a concert, or eat a quiet dinner.
